Help Build Hope Events
Jim will be helping out at a Help Build Hope event scheduled for March 27th through March 30th in Atlanta, Georgia.
We are both planning on being at the Help Build Hope event scheduled for April 18th and 19th at the Church at Mason in Mason, Oh (north of Cincinnati). You can get details about a CrossRoads Missions Help Build Hope event (our shortest short term mission event) by following this link.
Help Build Hope is changing lives! A great article that shares how this happened in two peoples lives can be read from this link. This link is to a 105kb Adobe Acrobat PDF that has been posted on CrossRoads Missions web site. The article is titled “Terry Hayes’ Second Chapter Includes Remarrying Her Former Husband “. Please let us know if your church or group would like to host a Help Build Hope event!
South East Asia Ministry Trip
To the right is the only surviving picture from Jim’s trip to Southeast Asia in February. Once he returned home we are able to view all 80 of the pictures. The next day when
we turned the camera on it reported a serious error — and all pictures were history. We’ve contacted one other person whom Jim met while on this trip about getting some of his pictures. We are hoping that by the time we write next months eNewsletter that we’ll have some to share.
The workshop on Ministry Web Sites that Jim lead went really well. We’ve heard from several folks who attended the workshop all ready asking how, and for help. As we work through those contacts we are praying that we can assist others working for the Cause in developing a web presence that will help expand and communicate their ministry.
Without providing a whole lot of detail here on our web site we can easily say that our vision and knowledge of how God is using people all over the world to accomplish sharing Christ with the nations has grown as a result of this conference! Jim chatted with many folks first hand, heard others sharing in groups, and saw the results of their efforts – we truly serve a mighty amazing God! It was also a very special treat for Jim to meet face-to-face many of the folks he’s previously met only through email.
Prayer Updates
- We’re thanking the Lord for providing us with a new ‘used’ vehicle to replace one of our aging vehicles. We were able to purchase a 2000 Silhouette for $500 from a partnering mission. We have some repairs to do on it to bring it up to speed, but once done, we’ll be able to sell one of our other cars to offset the cost and repairs of the Silhouette.
- Thank you to those who helped make it possible for Jim to go to Southeast Asia. Because of several special gifts Jim’s out of pocket expenses were minimized. A special thank you to the mission that scholar-shipped Jim as well!
- Erika has now been seizure free for 11 weeks. Thank you for your continued prayers for her!
- PTL – our financial support for November, December and January has come in at our minimum need level each month. Thank you for making it possible for us to do the ministry that we do. Please continue to pray for growth in this area and opportunities to partner with individuals and churches.
With awe and appreciation … Jim and Phyllis
