Hand Update
The pins came out of Jim’s hand on 8/19. Since then Jim continues treatment with an occupational therapist as his hand “comes back online” (Jim’s words). He continues to improve almost daily with being able to do things he was not able to do since the accident, such as hold a glass of water, turn a door knob, open and close a car door. Thank you for your prayers towards the healing process he is going through. We are looking forward to when he has full flexibility once again!
Small Group Retreat
Our small group from our home church in Cincinnati, Faith Bible Church, invited us to join them for a retreat. The retreat took place in Nashville, IN on the weekend of 8/22 and 8/23. What a wonderful time of refreshing for us — we headed home completely relaxed and once again encouraged. The greatest gift we consistently receive from our home church is one of encouragement to press on in missionary service. A special thank you from us for those who sponsored us for this retreat!
Help Build Hope ~ Owensboro, KY
We were pleased to participate in a Help Build Hope event, led by our mission – CrossRoads Missions – on 8/28 – 8/30. John Clouse (our brother in law, married to Phyl’s sister Lisa) coordinated the event in Owensboro as a member of the local YMCA board. Approximately 10 churches worked alongside of the YMCA to frame up two homes for a total of 75 walls. Nearly 150 people participated overall.
On Saturday night the members from the various churches met in a city park to dedicate the homes. We also were able to meet one of the families who will eventually live in one of the homes. And, the police and fire departments have adopted one home to complete and finish enabling them a community presence.
We continue to be amazed at what happens when churches set aside their distinctives and come together to work in the name of Jesus as happened once again through the ministry of CrossRoads Missions in Owensboro… because of the vision of one man, John Clouse.

Audrey Is Here!
Who is Audrey you say? Audrey Davis Null is grand child #3 being born to Justin and Katie Null on August 27th. Baby came in at nearly six pounds and seven ounces. Momma provided a perfect delivery. And of course we have pictures. Just click here.
