Today’s culture is moving quickly towards no longer embracing symbols representative of Biblical truth and historical truth. The culture finds it easy to embrace symbols of it’s own correctness, or it’s own “accepted” celebrations in comparison to Biblical symbols surrounding “religious holidays” such as Christmas or Easter.
As Believers, followers of Christ, this shouldn’t surprise us! Neither should it dissuade us from expressing the joy and hope we find in celebrating the birth of Christ, as well as his sacrifice and conquering of death. A gentle “Merry Christmas” with a smile is in order whenever engaging with folks – whether it be in a government building, a school building, when shopping, or as you pass others walking. This celebration is about joy! The joy of knowing that the birth of Jesus is to be celebrated as the greatest gift from the only living God, for all mankind and all nations, who will embrace him.
- Pray with us as we pursue a different ministry approach for our local and community ministry focus for 2019. We are in process of seeking several “permissions” prior to announcing the details of this approach. But we are very excited about the impact it will have on our local community! We have three upcoming meetings this month to that end.
- We continue to be in conversation with one of our local churches about the possibility of the Metanoia Center using some of their space as the Center’s physical location. Getting a physical location will greatly expand our capability of providing training opportunities.
End of the Year Giving
