Training the Trainers

We have the following equipping training events in our schedules for the first half of 2019.   We invite you to partner with us by praying for our equipping, and, if possible, by helping to underwrite the costs for the training.

International Wholistic Missions Conference

The IWMC is an annual spring conference that we attend.  It is not only a training and equipping conference but is also a working conference for Global CHE Network Service Team members, as Jim is.  You can read more about this conference by going to this website: https://www.wholisticmissions.com/

Work Life Facilitator Training

The Chalmers Center trains churches and ministries in Work Life, a biblically integrated job preparedness curriculum designed specifically for people from backgrounds of generational poverty. In addition to practical job skills, the curriculum empowers participants to recognize that God is at work in the world and that their jobs are a way of participating in that work.  We will be attending this training to gain facilitator status in order to present Work Life Trainings through the Metanoia Center and with other surrounding ministries.  You can read more about this training at this website: https://chalmers.org/work-life-training/

Our estimated costs for this training event is around $2000.00.  If you would like to help with the financial costs for this training click the button below.  Our online course section begins in April followed up with an on-hands in-person course completion in June in Nashville, TN.

Work Life Donation

New Testament Pass Out in Lockland III

Once again we’ll be passing out New Testaments to an area of the Village of Lockland.

Here is where help is needed!

Our goal is to have 500 New Testaments to pass out.  Orders for New Testaments can be placed here.  And, you can ship your order directly to our house at 316 Home Ave., Lockland, OH  45215.

Once we have the dates scheduled we’ll place that information here on our website as well as through other venues.

 

Prayer List

Pray with us over the following items as we seek God for His favor in glorifying Him in our community and beyond.

    1. This summer we are planning the following outreach activities:
      • A prayer walk in a different area of the community.
      • Several weeks after that walk, we are planning to return to pass out New Testaments to every home.  This will be our third year doing so in our four year plan.  We will actually complete this plan this summer one year early.
      • Then several weeks after we plan to return to do a prayer walk once more, followed up by a community cookout.
    2. Pray for the funding to provide for the Metanoia Center a physical location and operating costs in Lockland.
    3. Pray for Jim as he leads four weeks of computer training in cooperation with Lincoln Heights Outreach (LHOI).   The trainings will be held every Thursday morning during April.  (Phyllis will be returning to Lincoln Heights Outreach in the fall to facilitate a Faith & Finances course in partnership with LHOI).
    4. Pray for Jim as he serves on the Global Community Health Evangelism Service Team.  His work with this team extends the impact of his ministry around the world!
    5. Pray that the Lord will grow our financial support team.
